5. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND APPLICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE*

To consider Mr S Perkins of Dover Carnival Association Ltd’s email of 26th January 2008 (following the Committee’s resolution (Minute No. 417) at its meeting on 7th November 2007) concerning the grant of £2,000 made to the organisation on 17th January 2007 (copy attached).

To consider the following applications from organisations for financial assistance:-

a) Kent Air Ambulance Trust;
b) Dover Rowing Club;
c) Dover College;
d) Dover Youth Theatre.




6. SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS

To note that the schedule of payments by the Town Council for December 2007 were approved by the Town Council at its meeting on 30th January 2008 (copy attached).


7. BUDGET OUT-TURN

To note that the budget out-turn report for the 9 months to December 2007 was approved by the Town Council at its meeting on 30th January 2008 (copy attached).


8. TOWN COUNCIL AUDIT

To consider the Audit Commissions letter of 28th January 2008 concerning the appointment of the External Auditor (copy attached).


9. TOWN COUNCIL PREMISES AND ADMINISTRATION

To consider and note the Town Clerk’s Urgent Decision 07/08 075 made under Standing Order 67 in respect of the removal of asbestos from the boiler room and internal flue at Maison Dieu House (copy attached).

To consider the Deputy Town Clerk’s report of 8th February 2008 concerning carpeting in Maison Dieu House (copy attached).

To consider the Deputy Town Clerk’s report of 8th February 2008 concerning telephones in Maison Dieu House (copy attached).

To consider the Deputy Town Clerk’s report of 8th February 2008 concerning external decorating at Maison Dieu House (to follow).

To consider the Deputy Town Clerk’s report of 8th February 2008 concerning new toilet facilities at Maison Dieu House (copy attached).

To consider the renewal of the Town Council’s subscriptions to: -

a) The Local Government Chronicle (£195);
b) The Guild of Mace Bearers (£20).


11. FIXED ASSETS

To consider the Treasurer’s report of 29th January 2008 concerning the annual inspection of Town Council fixed assets (copy of report attached – a copy of the fixed asset register is available to view in the office).


12. TOWN COUNCIL LAND

To consider Mr G Champion, District Valuer’s emailed report of 4th February 2008 concerning the transfer of land from Dover Town Council to Folkestone & Dover Water Services at Knights Templar (copy attached).


13. EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC

To consider a motion for the exclusion of the public for the remainder of the meeting.

To consider the Deputy Town Clerk’s report of 6th February 2008 concerning overtime worked and due to Town Council Staff (copy attached).

To consider the Treasurer’s report of 29th January 2008 concerning the Local Government Pension Scheme (copy attached).

To receive the Chairman’s report concerning the Personnel Working Group meeting held on 6th February 2008(copy attached).

To consider Mr B Bano’s report of 6th February 2008 concerning Corporate Planning (copy attached).
