2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
To receive any declarations of personal or prejudicial interest that Members may wish to make.
3. MINUTES
To approve the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on the 18th September 2007 (copy attached).
4. BUDGET
To consider the latest out-turn against the Committee’s 2007/08 budget (copy attached).
5. WESTERN HEIGHTS SPORTS PAVILION AND FIELD
To consider the Project Development Officer’s report of the 2nd October 2007 advising of a meeting with the Kent F.A and to appoint a representative to attend the meeting in order to obtain a successful grant to build the Western Heights Sports Pavilion (copy attached).
To consider Kingswood Landscapes condition report of the 2nd October 2007 regarding the Western Heights Sports Field (copy attached).
To consider English Landscapes invoice of the 30th September 2007 requesting payment for works carried out recently to the Senior Football Pitch at the Western heights Sports Field (copy attached).
To discuss obtaining quotes for maintenance and grass cutting at the Western Heights Sports Field from March – October 2008.
To consider the Project Development Officer’s report of the 9th October 2007 regarding the progress to date of the Western Heights Sports Pavilion and Grounds development (copy attached).
6. CHRISTMAS 2007 & FESTIVAL LIGHTS
To consider: 1/ Dover Town Centre Management’s report regarding the Christmas Lights Switch-On event (copy attached);
2/ Christmas tree organisation;
3/ Christmas Cheer Extravaganza Event 2007;
4/ To discuss the progress to date of the Festival Lights in Dover.
7. PENCESTER PAVILION
To consider Christians Together in Dover’s request to use the Pavilion on the 11th May 2008 for Christians worship and celebrations (copy attached).
8. RIVER DOUR
To discuss the progress to date regarding the River Dour.
9. PLAY AREAS
To note Dover District Council’s letter of 24th July 2007 regarding possible “transfer” of equipped Play Areas to Town / Parish Councils and Cllr Mrs A Smith’s reply (copies attached).
10. FESTIVAL OF DOVER 2008
To consider notes of the meeting held 11th October 2007 and the Deputy Town Clerk’s report regarding the Festival of Dover 2008 Calendar (copies to follow).
11. DOVER TOWN COUNCIL STREET TRADING LICENCE & NOTICE BOARD
To consider the Project Development Officer’s report received 17th September 2007 requesting permission for Dover Arts Group to use the Dover Town Council Street Trading Licence for Arts Exhibitions on various dates in 2008 (copy of report and dates requested attached).
To consider obtaining quotes to replace doors on the Notice Board, due to damaged Perspex and the deterioration of wooden frame.
12. WAR MEMORIAL AND SURROUNDING GARDENS
To discuss obtaining quotes for grass cutting at the War Memorial Gardens and St. Edmunds Chapel from March – October 2008.
To consider the Technical Support Officer’s report of the 4th October 2007, that a budget be allocated to pre-order plants for the Spring and Autumn for the War Memorial Gardens and 2 tubs at entrance to the Town Council Offices (copy attached).
13. NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH SCHEME
To consider Minute No: 314 of the Town Council’s Policy Committee held 2nd October 2007 (copy attached).
14. ALLOTMENTS AND GRAZING LAND
To consider a report from the Special Responsibility Group concerning Allotments and Grazing Land (copy attached).
To consider the Deputy Town Clerks report of the 20th September 2007 and White Cliffs Countryside Project’s e-mail of the 9th October 2007 regarding the inclusion of the former Whinless Road allotment site into the High Meadow management agreement. (copies attached).
To discuss obtaining quotes for rough cutting of grass at the corner of Coombe Valley Road from March – October 2008.
