To receive any declarations of either personal or prejudicial interest that Members may wish to make.
3. MINUTES
To approve the Minutes of the meeting of the Finance & General Purposes Committee held on 10th October 2007 (copy attached).
4. PRESENTATIONS
To receive presentations from representatives of organisations applying for financial assistance.
5. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND APPLICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE*
To consider the Treasurer’s report of 30th October 2007 concerning the grant made by the Town Council to Dover Carnival Association Ltd at its meeting held on 17th January 2007 (minute No. 502) (copy attached).
To consider the following application for financial assistance: -
a) CJ’s Dance & Fitness (copy attached);
b) Dover Pageant Society (copy attached);
c) White Cliffs Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Panel (copy attached);
d) Dover District Volunteering Centre (copy attached).
6. SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS
To consider the schedule of payments by the Town Council for October 2007 (to follow).
7. BUDGET OUT-TURN REPORT
To note that the September quarterly out-turn report was considered by the Town Council at its meeting on 17th October 2007.
8. TOWN COUNCIL PREMISES AND ADMINISTRATION WORKING GROUP
To consider the Deputy Town Clerk’s report concerning first aid provision and arrangements at the Town Council Offices (to follow).
To consider the Town Clerk’s report of 19th October 2007 concerning the advertisement of the Council Chamber as a Wedding Venue (copy attached).
9. DRAFT COMMITTEE BUDGET FOR 2008/09
To consider the Committee’s draft budget for 2008/09 (to follow).
10. DOVER WAR MEMORIAL PROJECT
To receive formal confirmation that the Town Council’s lap-top computer has been returned to the Town Council.
11. EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC
To consider a motion for the exclusion of the public for the remainder of the meeting.
12. TOWN COUNCIL STAFF
To consider the Deputy Town Clerk’s report concerning the Employment of an Administration Apprentice (copy attached).
