Minutes of the meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE held at the Council Offices, Maison Dieu House, Biggin Street, Dover, on Tuesday 20th November 2007 at 6.00pm.

440. MINUTES
The Committee considered the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 24th October 2007.
RESOLVED: That the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 24th October 2007 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.
441. COMMITTEE BUDGET
The Committee noted the latest out-turns against the Committee’s 2007/08 budget.

442. A20 TRUNK ROAD (DOVER EASTERN DOCKS EXIT SLIP ROAD)
The Committee noted a letter from the Highways Agency dated 15th October 2007, together with a letter dated 15th October 2007 from the Government Office for the South East, regarding the decision of the Government Office for the South East for the A20 Trunk Road (Dover Eastern Docks Exit Slip Road) scheme.
The Committee noted the Port of Dover’s news circular dated 19th October 2007 regarding the new dock exit road.
443. STREET NAMING
The Committee considered Dover District Council’s letter of 8th November 2007 regarding naming a new street at the development at Queens Gardens, Dover, Queens Courtyard.
RESOLVED: That Dover District Council be advised that the Committee agrees with naming the new street at the development at Queens Gardens, Dover, Queens Courtyard.
444. SUBSIDISED LOCAL BUS SERVICES
The Committee considered Kent County Council’s Local Bus Manager’s letter of 6th November 2007 regarding the re-tender of local bus services.
RESOLVED: That Councillor Precious contact Kent County Council’s Local Bus Manager to obtain further information regarding the re-tender of local bus services.

The Committee noted Kent Highway Services information sheets “Improving Travelling in Kent” dated 28th October 2007, 4th November 2007 and 11th November 2007.
